limkokwing architecture techniques 203: 2008

during last semester’s submission (2008)- I kind of went into our seniors studio and checked out their submission for architecture techniques. their works were impressive, one must say, in fact – they could be the best batch for techniques ever in limkokwing. here are some of my glimpse of their works – credits due to the as202 2008 batch.

an awesome looking presentation board for project, stealth by eric owen moss.
among all works, the one I loved the most is the project church of light by tadao ando. this series of models captured the exact essence of church of light – by imposing the depth of the section walls, the light that comes through the slits becomes more and more accentuated!

project tjibaou cultural cenre of renzo piano. the series of models show how renzo piano took his inspiration for the form of the cultural centre from the vernacular kernak. and the level of details for the model is equavalently piano-like level!

the project of schnabel house by frank gehry. this house is actually a series of pavillions placed upon the site, creating pockets of indoor and outdoor spaces. the model is also outstandingly detailed and crafted. but the most interesting part of this is its presentation; by moving and transforming different pavillions of the project into an aligned long linear section. now that’s exquisite, don’t you think?
