the Internet might as well as having great resources for architecture, but we must know how to find and use them the best way. studying architecture needs to have the combination of 30 over roles; some includes good researcher, graphic artist, presenter, drawing artist and model maker. so by having internet work your way out of those roles, you might save a lot of time. so, I’m offering how to make the most out of the internet for all your architectural needs.
1. precedent or preliminary research

a) we all know how to use wikipedia and google (I have the other guide on google here) so it is self-explained and while you’re on wiki, it’s always the best idea to check the references

b) here’s something different;
how about searching through google scholars and books? and also search only on full view books to avoid nuisance. (also, here’s how to download a book from google)
2. pictures, photos

a) there were yahoo images and google images to be the best; but always try searching only for large or extra-large image sizes. you know we need only clear photos.
b)and again try out flickr for great photos (here’s a guide how to download flickr photos)-
c)plus you might need artistic or abstract pictures, then try deviantart
3. videos
pictures could not always explain how the house look like, sometimes we need videos- easily grab them from youtube and yahoo videos with techcrunch.
and while you’re having problem reading the video; here’s how to solve converting videos and missing codecs
- how to convert videos with SUPER converter
- how to install codecs with k-lite codecs
4. softwares
you’re just an architectural student, but you need photoshop and autocad stuffs, so are you going to spend thousand dollars on them? of course no, so here’s a simple way, using bitcomet and searching torrents from isohunt. also, isohunt can search some keygens and cracks for you too
5. models and drawings
this is probably specific for architecture. you got to try to hunt for DWG files through google for autocad drawings and 3DS files for 3dmax models. maybe sketchup warehouse is your choice as well.
