this year PAM is going to hold an event called datum: kl 2008 at klcc on 4 & 5 july. there are lots of ‘young’ but famed architects confirmed as speakers for this forum. my favorites here are li hu from steven holl architects and tan loke mun from archicentre. observing from this flyer, much of their works are under progress- so my dear friends, grasp the current trend of architecture now!
DATUM:KL 2008 addresses distinctive architectural excellence that stands out from the rest. This is especially appropriate in light of a rapidly globalizing world, where the practice of architecture needs a reality-check to re-address the soulless buildings and cities that are mushrooming all over, with little reference to local and regional distinctions.
